Our Tekapo to Aoraki Southern Alps Odyssey is a 40-minute experience that takes in the legendary beauty of the Mackenzie Region stretching from Lake Tekapo to Aoraki Mount Cook National Park.

Your odyssey begins from our Lake Tekapo base, rising above the golden tussock country of the Mackenzie Basin and soaring toward the distant towering peaks of the Southern Alps. Enjoy the extraordinary views of rolling hills climbing to the rugged, snow-capped ridges of New Zealand’s highest mountains.

As tussock gives way to glacier-fed lakes and glacial ice, sweeping through the deep valleys of Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, you’ll come face-to-face with Aoraki Mount Cook and its mighty neighbours. Flying above the ancient ice of the Tasman Glacier, you’ll encounter other legendary and breathtaking sights such as the giant seracs and jagged crevasses of the Hochstetter Icefall.

This flight includes a landing stop at a stunning alpine location where you can capture amazing photos or just stand in awe and take a moment to catch your breath.
